Hi,

I am an absolutely fresher in stock maket who knows nothing but hv been told about friends thats its exciting and profitable.

I tried my hand today by registering myself with online sites like www. sharekhan. com and www. moneycontrol. com. But can you guys please guide me as after registration with those sites what should I do?If I wish to trade how do I do so online through these sites.

please guide me through.

Hey Jayant,

Relax, and go slow. Good that you have registered with websites like moneycontrol etc.  This will surely add to your knowledge. 

But to start trading, you will have to open a Demat account with any trading company like Sharekhan or ICICI Direct or HDFC Securities or Reliance Capital etc..  I personally like ICICI Direct (Costly but good).

Regarding Knowledge, it will come with time. Remember one thing that all that is said or hyped on forums like Moneycontrol, etc or what is told in CNBC TV, NDTV Profit, Zee Business etc by analysts is not true.  People posting on those forums or speaking on TV may mislead you (free viewers)  to assure profit for their paid clients or for themselves.

This has happened in the past and SEBI did take action against one such analyst of Moneycontrol.com.  Unfortunately, this continues to happen and will probably keep on going like this.

If you are a small investor and have little money, then only invest in Mutual funds.

If you have lots of money and are interested in Day trading, then do use some good analyst's Paid Service.
